The St. Johns River flows through Lake Monroe, a 9,406-acre lake and the city of Sanford borders the southern shoreline.
In 1870, Henry Sanford planned a new city, “the Gate City of South Florida,” which he believed would become the transportation hub for all of southern Florida as steamboats travelled the St. Johns River. He also developed Belair, a citrus grove and experimental garden near Sanford with more than 140 varieties of citrus, including the Valencia orange.
Our Sanford candle pays tribute to the area's citrus history, with mandarin and lemon as well as hints of vanilla and fresh grass.
In Sanford today, you can step back in time and take a paddleboat cruise on the river, or a trolley through the historic downtown which showcases many unique shops, restaurants, breweries and art galleries. Enjoy events such as Pints and Paws, Sofas and Suds, Oktoberfest or the St. Johns River Festival of the Arts.
Marinas at the Port of Sanford, the Osteen Bridge and Downtown, offer boaters of every level access to Lake Monroe and the beautiful St. Johns River. River Walk, with its gazebos and swinging benches, has several miles of pedestrian walking paths. Along the way, you can visit the various parks, Zoo, Sanford Museum, or dock your boat at the marina day slips and have a great time downtown!

Candle Care Tips
Candle Care Tips
- Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep. We recommend burning for a maximum of 4 hours each time you enjoy your candle.
- Follow the 2-foot rule. Don't place a burning candle within 2 feet of clothing, books, curtains, or other flammable objects.
- Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans, and any air currents. This keeps the flame burning steadily in the center of the candle.
- Trim the wick to ¼” before every burn. This helps prevent the flame from getting too large, and also cuts down on any excess soot.
- Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.
- When burning multiple candles at once, always place them at least 3 inches apart from each other.
- A burning candle should never be used as a nightlight. Always extinguish any lit candles before going to sleep.
- A candle should not be burned for more than four hours at a time, exceeding this could cause safety issues.

How It's Made

Precision and Passion: Every Candle Perfected
Each candle is thoughtfully created with superior products. Before we introduce our new collections, we thoroughly test each candle type and recipe. We conduct multiple burn tests, ensuring the right wicks and fragrance amounts are being used, and confirm the candle is performing as it should.

The Perfect Candle Awaits After a Two-Week Cure
Once all tests are passed, we create your candle! We then let the candle cure for 2 weeks. This allows the candle to harden, improving the melt pool while it burns. This also allows the fragrance to be distributed throughout the candle, binding to the wax, and improving the overall scent.
Once cured, another quality check is performed, and we prepare the candle to present to you.
Enjoy!
