Anna Maria Island is a barrier island located in Manatee County, Florida on the Gulf of Mexico where Old Florida can still be found. The Island is seven miles long and there are three communities: Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach and at the northern tip, the municipality of Anna Maria Island.

The island is bird sanctuary, with pelicans, cranes, herons, parrots, osprey and more! Additionally, from May through October in Florida, sea turtles come ashore to nest.

Some the things to do on the Island include visiting the many Piers.

Anna Maria Island City Pier is a historic landmark off of Pine Avenue. It is located on Tampa Bay with a stunning view of Sunshine Skyway Bridge. 

Rod and Reel Pier is another iconic Anna Maria Island location to visit and also includes its own restaurant. 

Historic Bridge Street Pier. This pier has an Old Florida style clock tower and is home to the Anna Maria Oyster Bar.

You can visit the many shops on the island, rent a kayak, paddleboard or bike.  Hop on a trolley or rent a golf cart to travel around the island!
