The Wind River Range (or "Winds" for short) is a mountain range of the Rocky Mountains located in Wyoming and runs for approximately 100 miles The Wind River’s Gannett Peak at 13,804 feet is Wyoming's highest peak. In fact, 19 of Wyoming’s 20 highest peaks are in the Wind River Range.

Much of the Wind River Range received federal protection as National Forest Primitive Areas in 1931–32. The Wind River Range is now largely protected by three federal wilderness areas.  Together these wilderness areas protect 728,020 acres making the Wind River Range one of the largest road-free areas in the continental United States. Part of the eastern slope of the Wind River Range is also under the protection of the Wind River Indian Reservation.

Several major rivers have headwaters on either side of the range. The Green and Big Sandy Rivers drain southward from the west side of the range, while the Wind River drains eastward through the Shoshone Basin. The Green is the largest fork of the Colorado River while the Wind River where it changes to Bighorn River, is the largest fork of the Yellowstone River. The range includes several canyons on either side, including Silas Canyon and Sinks Canyon. The canyons are carved by rivers such as the Middle Fork of the Popo Agie which feeds the Wind River.

The Winds are home to one ski area, White Pine.  It is the only lift-accessible skiing and snowboarding area in the range and is the oldest ski area in Wyoming.

Candle Care Tips

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep. We recommend burning for a maximum of 4 hours each time you enjoy your candle.
  • Follow the 2-foot rule. Don't place a burning candle within 2 feet of clothing, books, curtains, or other flammable objects.
  • Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans, and any air currents. This keeps the flame burning steadily in the center of the candle.
  • Trim the wick to ¼” before every burn. This helps prevent the flame from getting too large, and also cuts down on any excess soot.
  • Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.
  • When burning multiple candles at once, always place them at least 3 inches apart from each other.
  • A burning candle should never be used as a nightlight. Always extinguish any lit candles before going to sleep.
  • A candle should not be burned for more than four hours at a time, exceeding this could cause safety issues.

How It's Made

Precision and Passion: Every Candle Perfected

Each candle is thoughtfully created with superior products. Before we introduce our new collections, we thoroughly test each candle type and recipe.  We conduct multiple burn tests, ensuring the right wicks and fragrance amounts are being used, and confirm the candle is performing as it should.

The Perfect Candle Awaits After a Two-Week Cure

Once all tests are passed, we create your candle!  We then let the candle cure for 2 weeks. This allows the candle to harden, improving the melt pool while it burns. This also allows the fragrance to be distributed throughout the candle, binding to the wax, and improving the overall scent.

Once cured, another quality check is performed, and we prepare the candle to present to you.

Enjoy!
